School Messenger

The SJCSD is using a service called School Messenger to notify parents electronically for reasons that impact the safety and academic performance of students. Parents will begin to receive notifications such as school closings, early dismissals and important reminders via the phone, email and social media. Parents even have an option to receive notifications via text message. SchoolMessenger will not replace current school communication methods. It will simply supplement.

The number that is contacted through this service is directly related to a student's call order in our student management program, School Tool. If you are not receiving the notifications, please contact the main office of your child's school to verify your established call order.

After the school has your cell phone number on file and your cell phone number is listed on your CALL ORDER, you can receive text messages in addition to the emergency phone call.
You must subscribe to notify your cell carrier that you agree to receive text messages.  We can not do this for you.  
Simply text the word subscribe (or Y or Yes or optin or opt in) to 67587. That's it! You've completed the opt-in process. You'll know you were successful if you receive the following automatic response: You are registered to receive aprox 3 msgs/mo. Txt STOP to quit, HELP for help.
